Joosten - young animal nutrition (YAN) is a well-known and trusted name in young animal nutrition for more than 150 years. In addition to export within the EU, Joosten focuses mainly on Southeast Asia, Latin America and China. High-quality products of Dutch origin for calves, piglets and poultry are combined with expertise in animal husbandry, animal health, especially gut health, and excellent global logistics. These products are supplied to distributors and integrations worldwide.
Joosten YAN is headquartered in Weert, the Netherlands, from where international sales and operational activities are coordinated. External production sites are GMP+ certified and meet the highest production standards to guarantee the quality of Joosten products.

To support our international growth strategy and ambitions, we are looking for an International Sales Manager.
Position Overview
Position: International Sales Manager
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Commercial Director
The International Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the budgeted sales targets within the assigned customer portfolio and contributes to the development and implementation of commercial policies, including marketing, product development, market development and country strategies.
This position does not include a managerial role.

The International Sales Manager reports to the Commercial Director and works closely with:

- Operations / Customer Services department
- Production and Quality department
External stakeholders:
- Customers and business partners of Joosten YAN in an assigned region
- Prospects, organizations and official authorities in the region
Key Responsibilities & Activities
1. Sales – Existing Partners
- Preparing the annual (partial) sales plan within defined frameworks
- Achieving budgeted results in terms of volume, margin and strategic objectives
- Visiting existing and potential customers, negotiating prices and payment conditions, and concluding contracts
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and monitoring customer and market developments
- Monthly monitoring of forecasts, order portfolio and results (sales volumes and gross margin) per customer, adjusting policies and taking corrective actions where necessary
- Introducing new products to existing and new customers
2. Business Development / Acquisition
- Mapping, analysing and approaching selected markets, segments and players
- Introducing Joosten YAN and its product portfolio and establishing new partnerships
3. Product Management
- Initiating and coordinating new product introductions
- Keeping product registrations up to date in the assigned region
- Contributing to product development
4. Marketing
- Proposing ideas for and contributing to the marketing plan and marketing activities
- Supporting the implementation of the marketing plan
- Representing Joosten Products B.V. / YAN at (international) trade fairs, seminars and similar events
Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor-level education (e.g. HAS International Food & Agri Business, Animal Husbandry)
- Proven commercial experience
- Export experience
- Knowledge of the markets and industry of Joosten Products B.V. / YAN
- Several years of work experience in a commercial (and export) role within the Agri Business
- Proficiency in Dutch and English at C-level
- Willingness to travel at least 8 weeks per year
